Deadhead Stories

A Kind Gift from WC Music Corp/Ice Nine Publishing

deadhead storiesHey now,

How sweet it is to be loved by you!  We are humbled by the positive reception this project has received in our community and delighted that the book’s success has enabled monthly donations to the Rex Foundation, SEVA and the Jerry Garcia Foundation.  Your simple act of kindness truly can go a long way!

The impetus for the Deadhead Stories project was to preserve and share Deadhead history, from the perspective of the fans.  Deadhead Stories: If I Told You All That Went Down It Would Burn Off Both of Your Ears was woven from the freely donated contributions of story tellers, photographers, artists, editors, a graphic designer and thousands of Deadheads from around the globe.  This book that love built is truly a creative collaboration.

We hold a deep respect for artists, and it is our policy to give credit where credit is due, and to secure permission for the use of any copyrighted material.  In this vein, I am excited to share with you the news that Warner Chappell Music has granted Deadhead Stories permission to use book one’s sub-title, If I Told You All That Went Down It Would Burn Off Both of Your Ears (“DEAL.” Words and Music by Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia. Ice Nine Publishing, Co. Inc. (ASCAP). All rights administered by WC Music Corp.).

More, I am thrilled to report that Warner Chappell Music has also granted us permission to use the sub-title our Family selected for book two: Deadhead Stories: Bound to Cover Just a Little More Ground (“WHEEL.” Words by Robert Hunter, Music by Jerry Garcia and Bill Kreutzmann. Ice Nine Publishing, Co. Inc. (ASCAP). All rights administered by WC Music Corp.).

Now in the early stages of development, book two needs you!  We invite you to join the project through our private Facebook group, a place to be you with a smile.  We seek contributions from story tellers, photographers, artists, editors, graphic designers, marketers, web designers, event planners, makers of left-handed monkey wrenches, and the many other skill-hats that make our community shine.  We may not have it all together, but together we have it all!

From me and the entire Deadhead Stories Family, thank you again for your kind support.

Long may our music and tales fill the air!

Love and Light,

Daniel Guliano
